THE PEPPERY STAGE
Ska
Toons
(Ska/jazz)
A rocking collision of ska, funk and jazz, where Prince Buster meets Duke Ellington, The
Skatalites meet Charles Mingus and The Ventures meet Don Drummond.
Jani
Lang Band
(Hungary/UK/Balkan)
A unique collaboration of Hungarian, Scottish, Irish and Egyptian musicians driven by an
enthusiasm for Balkan and Gypsy music.
Black Umfolosi 5
(African/acapella)
Energy-driven and completely engaging, mixing a great gentleness of spirit and song with
an exuberance in dance.
Achanak (Bhangra)
As a six piece band, Achanak have gained a fearsome reputation as one of the 'best 'live'
acts on the Asian music scene.
THE
CARIBBEAN EXPOSE STAGE
Live
musicians from the Caribbean islands, including:
· Lima Calbio from Trinidad and Tobago: steel pan performances.
· Ipswich Steel Orchestras.
· World
junior pianist, Tamika Ward-Lewis.
· BT Metodians.
· London Notting Hill Carnival Mas Bands.
· London School of Samba.
· Brazil Mas Band.

are two Internet radio shows on Ipswich Community Radio (ICRfm) which feature mainly world
and roots music.
Our
very own Peppery Show from 2pm until 4pm on
Tuesday afternoons, has Martin at the controls playing the best of world, folk and jazz;
also up to date information on all the latest Peppery gigs and concerts.
'Global
Beats' every
Wednesday between 7.00pm and 8.30pm on Ipswich Community Radio features DJ’s Derek
Neil and Susan with an eclectic mix which specialises in dance and jazzy rhythms.
